As you know, collecting isn't just about completing a checklist and then hiding everything in your attic; it's about enjoying your collection and displaying it for all to see! That's exactly what we wanted to focus on when we developed The HWC™ Hot Wheels® Classics Series 2 set. Starting at 9AM PDT Tuesday, October 3, this nostalgic-style toy store display case and one version of each of the 30 classics cars in the 2006 line are yours to buy.
We came up with a number of possibilities on the best way to display the 2006 Classics, but, at the end of the day, only one version made sense. Since the Classics line was created in the same spirit as the original Hot Wheels® vehicles, where better to look for ideas than the original toy store displays that Mattel used in the late '60s and early '70s to show off Hot Wheels® vehicles? We're sure you'll be pleased with the results.
The Hot Wheels® Classics Series 2 set comes with one version of each of the 30 cars in the 2006 line in a sturdy, acrylic-like toy store display case decorated with Hot Wheels® nostalgic graphics from top to bottom. In order to show off the retro Classics packaging we've also included an exclusive color of the Customized VW Drag Truck that you can only get with the set, limited to no more than 1,000 units! The other thing to note is that in order to create this set, we had to go back into production on a couple of these models meaning that there may be some minor variations in some of the 30 main cars as well!
This 24-hour sale is our way of paying homage to the good old days! Starting at 9AM PDT Tuesday, October 3, stake your claim to a little piece of Hot Wheels® history. The Hot Wheels® Classics Series 2 set with all 30 of the Hot Wheels® Classics Series 2 vehicles, the sturdy, acrylic-like, toy store display case, and the exclusive Customized VW Drag Truck altogether have a production quantity of no more than 1,000 pieces each, and each set features an individually numbered holographic label on the front of the case. Priced at $199.99 plus shipping & processing, these items are available on a first-come, first-served basis only while supplies last. For best results, sign in at HWC™ prior to 9:00 AM PDT on sale days.
But remember we only have 1,000 of these displays to offer, so get your order in early or you may come up short.
Sales Policy for 2006 - PLEASE READ: Our HWC™ Exclusive sales for HWC™ Series cars will be conducted differently this year, so please read carefully. As in previous years, there will be a purchase limit of ONE set per RLC™ membership for a priority period of 24 hours. However, if either of these items do not sell out within the first 24 hours, we will allow either RLC or HWC members to purchase any remaining units while supplies last (beginning at 9 AM PDT on Wednesday, October 4th).
