The Red Line Club™ enters its 8th year in 2009. That's a big number for us, and we've decided to offer a big membership car this year -- the Volkswagen Drag Bus! We've newly modified the collector favorite especially for this release which -- in true RLC™ tradition -- will be available in four deco variations. You're gonna wanna try to get one of each, and they're limited -- better get rolling!

The Membership Kit

Each RLC™ member will receive exclusive Membership Kit items. These include the following:

• A Red Line Club™ Exclusive membership car. What can be more exciting than the Volkswagen Drag Bus as a membership car? How about four different variations of it? Each variation includes Neo-Classics™ Redline® wheels, a full-metal chassis, and a themed deco as follows:
  • First 4,000 to join or renew: Volkswagen Drag Bus in Police Dept. deco
  • Next 5,000 to join or renew: Volkswagen Drag Bus in Fire Dept. deco
  • Next 6,000 to join or renew: Volkswagen Drag Bus in Military Police deco
  • Next 7,000 to join or renew: Volkswagen Drag Bus in Taxi deco

HWC™ Series Cars - Priority Window

This year, Larry Wood will celebrate an unprecedented 40 years with the Hot Wheels® brand! In his honor, we expand this year's HWC™ Series Eight by six cars with an online set of the Larry Wood series along with the six Neo-Classics™ and six Real Riders® releases. That means there are gonna be 18 cars in this year's HWC™ Series -- and we're gonna knock your socks off with some serious retools! You'll want first crack at these offers, and that's why you need a Red Line Club™ membership.

A major benefit of RLC™ membership is the customary 24-hour Priority Window during most of our sales, including all of the HWC™ Series Eight offers. Only RLC™ members can order during the first 24 hours on sales with the Priority Window. Some offers may sell out during that period and, if you're not in the RLC™, you'll be left behind. Membership is your best chance to grab the goods!

So you're wondering if we're going to give you our obligatory tipoff about a few of the cars we've got on the assembly line for this year, right? Of course! Among the retools members can expect will be some long-awaited requests: Sugar Caddy, Hi-Tail Hauler (model and name pending approval), and one or two of Larry Wood's very oldest designs. Watch for a certain "spoilers" style Plymouth to make its first appearance as an HWC™ release, as well as a "boss hoss" which we haven't done online yet (hint: it has one less wheel than the hoss you might be thinking of). And if Woodies are your passion -- well, you won't be disappointed. And that's just a few -- there're a lot more!

RLC™ Exclusive Cars

Returning this year will be the phenomenal RLC™ sELECTIONs™ series of four editions -- where members help us determine which casting we'll release! It's your chance to participate in the creation process, helping us choose from color and wheels options, too. Only club members get to vote for these, and we only offer them to club members when they become available. We can't guarantee the cars you most want will win -- but we can tell you that, if you don't vote, they probably won't. The polls take place in the special sELECTIONs™ forum on our Message Boards.

Speaking of "voting", you've been telling us for some time that you want to see us restore certain vehicles. A very special one of your requests finally returns this year as an RLC™ special edition. It would just be the pits if you missed it...

RLC™ Rewards Program

The RLC™ Rewards program returns with a vengeance! Whenever you order any of our 18 HWC™ Series Eight releases (Neo-Classics™, Real Riders®, and/or Larry Wood cars) during the RLC™ 24-hour Priority Window, you will earn two Priority Points for each car you buy. You will also earn one Priority Point for each car you buy from the four RLC™ Exclusive sELECTIONs™ cars created this year, and one Priority Point for any of our other RLC™ special edition releases. There might even be other opportunities to get points, but it's safe to say that you can really rack ‘em up this year!

Once again, we will offer four different fantastic RLC™ Rewards Priority Cars! For every six Priority Points you accumulate, you can cash them in to order one of these special vehicles. Each of these cars will be made to order (similar to the sELECTIONs™ vehicles) -- meaning that each RLC™ member will determine which of the Rewards cars they want, and we'll make the quantities you order. We'll reveal the designs for these cars later in the year -- watch for them!

Reminder: The only way to guarantee your shot at getting Rewards Cars is to join the club! Just don't forget to place your orders for HWC™ Series Eight cars during the RLC™ 24-hour Priority Window -- and don't miss the RLC™ sELECTIONs™ ordering weeks.

Exclusive HWC™ Content

Only Red Line Club™ members can access certain extra special content and areas of HWC™ -- such as the RLC™ Sneak Peeks, sELECTIONs™ updates, early versions of upcoming site additions and other inside looks at this hobby and our Hot Wheels® products! You will also find RLC™ Only forums -- including the sELECTIONs™ polls -- on our Message Boards. Don't forget to sign in and check the Home Page regularly... If you're not in, you're left out!

Red Line Club™ memberships are limited to no more than five per household and are only valid for one year. Current RLC™ members will have one week to renew before the club opens for all HWC™ members to join. Memberships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
